Who is Charlotte?? I’m Charlotte, and I am retired, actually retired several times over….and I find it hard to do.\u00a0 I envy those that retire and never look back…they play and play and play.\u00a0 I was a real estate agent in New Jersey, who went on to be a Branch Sales Manager of a Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Office for 19 years.\u00a0\u00a0The last office I managed was\u00a0Jersey City, where I had 125 agents.\u00a0 My office was right across the Hudson River from lower Manhattan and the Financial District, and as I left the office for the last time, I remember marvelling what a beautiful site the City is at night.\u00a0 The site would always\u00a0rejuvenate me, just as the anticipation of retirement did.\u00a0\u00a0 That was my first retirement.\u00a0 I then started consulting with Coldwell Banker Managers and would work in their offices,\u00a0 I would manage their offices when they were absent, and also conducted weekly\u00a0in office training of new agents.\u00a0 I really enjoyed that, however I became a snowbird,\u00a0and would still do training for the six months I was back in New Jersey.\u00a0 When I became a\u00a0permanent resident of Florida I\u00a0retired again.\u00a0In my spare time I decided to get my Florida license, just for fun.\u00a0\u00a0 I actually did not work for a year or so, at which time I\u00a0fell head over heels in love with the Villages.\u00a0 \u00a0 One problem, salesmen love to sell what they love and \u00a0I then \u00a0wanted to\u00a0be an agent for Properties of The Villages.\u00a0 \u00a0The day I was hired, I saw the City lights again.\u00a0\u00a0I felt rejuvenated, and my association with the Properties of\u00a0The Villages was\u00a0the best experience, and a definite highlight of my real estate career.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0June 2010, I felt I was not spending enough time with my children and grandchildren, missing some of their special\u00a0events, I then\u00a0decided to retire once again.\u00a0 \u00a0I was able to become a referral agent with Properties of The Villages, so I now have the best of both worlds….I am retired BUT if someone is thinking of buying or selling, I can\u00a0introduce them to a sales representative.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0All they have to do is let me know what they\u00a0are looking for\u00a0in an agent, and I will find the right one for them.\u00a0 It works really\u00a0well.\u00a0 I\u00a0am now taking classes at the Lifelong Learning College, oil painting\u00a0& writing, and \u00a0I will get back to water aerobics. Have been paying my membership dues at the Wellness Center…I will get there soon too.\u00a0 I have five children and their spouses\u00a0in my life,\u00a0 plus 12 grandchildren and a Godson.\u00a0\u00a0 Life is good and it’s always a beautiful day in The\u00a0Villages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
