\"CCF05162013_00000\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 Sean O’Flynn thinks he already died and went to Heaven.\u00a0 Sunny weather, 11 Championship\u00a0Golf Courses\u00a0within a 20 minute golf cart\u00a0ride\u00a0from his front door…or should I say garage door, plus 30\u00a0Executive courses.\u00a0 Three of the Championship courses are 18 holes and the other eight all have 27 holes.\u00a0The Championship courses\u00a0are located at the Country\u00a0Clubs with Restaurants and Pro Shops.\u00a0 I\u00a0want to mention that\u00a0as a \u00a0resident you automatically belong to all the Country Clubs, and there is not a monthly amount you have to spend. There is however a fee to play the Championship courses, but in comparison to what Sean was used to paying in the New York City area, Naples and Ft. Lauderdale, they are next to nothing.\u00a0 If you play those courses regularly you can pay for a Priority membership, which gives you an even better break on the fee.\u00a0 However, if you don’t want to pay a fee at all\u00a0to play golf you don’t have to, as all the\u00a0Executive courses-30 of them-are free.\u00a0 There is a\u00a0nominal trail fee for your cart, and even more nominal for a pull cart, but if you walk there is no fee at all.\u00a0 The Executive Golf Courses are rated based on the difficulty level of the course.\u00a0 It is displayed on a scale of 1 to 4 with\u00a01 being the friendliest and 4 the most challenging…water, trees, bunkers.\u00a0 This allows each resident to choose what playing level best suites them so they will be able to maximize their enjoyment when they come out to play.\u00a0Sean also has within 20 minutes of his garage door four Practice Ranges and two Custom Club Shops which offers equipment from the most respected names in the golf industry, including Adams, Callaway, Cleveland, cobra, Lopez, Miszuno, Nike, Ping, Taylorshipmade, Titleist, Tour Edge and Wilson.\u00a0 The shop’s motto is “See It, Try It, Fit It, Buy It” with emphasis on trying equipment and getting it properly fitted before purchases are made.\u00a0 The shops have a lot state-of-the-art technology in custom fitting, repair services and also demo clubs are available for use at the Custom Club Shop’s covered hitting stations, as well as to check out and try on the course.\u00a0\u00a0 As with everything else at The Villages, the\u00a0courses and facilities are top notch and are\u00a0meticulously maintained,\u00a0making residents’ golfing experiences fun and pleasurable.\u00a0I almost forgot to mention\u00a0The Villages three Golf Academies. which offer private lessons, group lessons, custom group lessons, and game enhancement practices along with new-to-golf programs, swing improvement schools, scoring schools and clinics.\u00a0 Each state-of-the-art indoor, outdoor and covered facilities are conveniently located and offer synthetic and natural-grass hitting areas, as well as bunkers and greens for all your short game practice needs.\u00a0\u00a0 Whew.\u00a0 If you like to learn a little more, you can go to www.golfthevillages.com<\/a> and you can check out even more information.\u00a0 A little summary,\u00a0The\u00a0Villages’\u00a0Championship and Executive Golf Courses have a total of 540 holes of golf, far exceeding the second largest golf facility in the world, Mission Hills in China, which has 216 holes.\u00a0 With over 10,000 tee times available each day, Villagers generated some record statistics in 2012.\u00a0 There were 1,978 holes in one recorded in 2012 compared to 1,832 in 2011, and 1,630 in 2010.
