\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0My sister Jane from California was visiting recently, and she like myself\u00a0is retired, \u00a0yet is involved in different projects relating to her profession.\u00a0 As we were discussing\u00a0retirement, she said what\u00a0she disliked the most was that things she\u00a0fit into her day prior to retirement,\u00a0 such as \u00a0shopping, \u00a0washing clothes, \u00a0cleaning, \u00a0dentist &\u00a0doctor appointments,\u00a0 getting a\u00a0hair cut,\u00a0etc.\u00a0\u00a0have now \u00a0taken over her\u00a0entire day.\u00a0 \u00a0” It seems I just twitter my time away,” she said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Her words\u00a0hit me like a ton of bricks.\u00a0 All this while I kept returning to work because I disliked retirement.\u00a0 Why?…I have become an expert twitterer, actually even better, I\u00a0am an expert\u00a0procrastinating twitterer.\u00a0 I took those chores, and because I didn’t\u00a0 like doing them I spread them over days and days.\u00a0 No wonder I always wanted to go back to work.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0I realized that those people that were really enjoying retirement, \u00a0were making\u00a0\u00a0their fun activities \u00a0their first priority, and \u00a0they then fit those other chores in, just like when\u00a0they worked.\u00a0 I\u00a0 thought I had discovered the secret to\u00a0 retirement,\u00a0 \u00a0happy retirees don’t twitter….until I shared my observation with a happily retired \u00a0friend, who said, “are you crazy, that is the greatest thing about retirement,\u00a0 I love twittering,\u00a0 I have all the time in the world to twitter, and I do…every day!”\u00a0<\/p>\n
