The robins have arrived in New Jersey, along with tulips, daffodils and forsythia.\u00a0 I haven’t experienced Spring in the North in several years, so it brought back many memories.\u00a0 I remember when my sons were young, another sure sign of spring was the mud they tracked in on their shoes.\u00a0 I think the winters were more predictable years ago, and the ground would be pretty much frozen all winter, \u00a0producing mud as it thawed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Spring, \u00a0robins and mud were\u00a0synonymous.\u00a0 I had a great trip back home, (I think home will always be where you grew up, even though my real home is now here in The Villages), I got to spend time with family and friends, and to\u00a0catch up on growth spurts\u00a0and hair lengths of\u00a0 my grandsons.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0All grew taller, some hair grew longer, some hair\u00a0cut shorter, but all good.\u00a0 Mike, my youngest grandson,\u00a0has a special hamburger recipe that he wanted to treat me to,\u00a0so \u00a0he made dinner one evening.\u00a0\u00a0 I \u00a0thoroughly enjoyed\u00a0his\u00a0recipe, as did everyone else.\u00a0 I was a little disappointed my son Joe was not back from Ghana, so did not get to see him, but business is business, and he will be arriving home to his family tomorrow.\u00a0 My sister\u00a0Jane\u00a0from California also visited, and we\u00a0had a real working vacation together, which will be another\u00a0blog.\u00a0\u00a0As much\u00a0\u00a0fun as \u00a0vacations and visits are, \u00a0it\u00a0feels good to get back to my familiar routine.\u00a0\u00a0 It did take me awhile to pick up on my blog, but have gotten into water aerobics right away, went to a poetry workshop given by Betty Eich, which was fabulous as Betty always\u00a0makes it, \u00a0and also got in a movie…Titanic in 3D.\u00a0\u00a0I now have started writing again, so I’m back and want to wish everyone a Happy\u00a0Spring and today a Happy Easter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
