how great the shows have been this Christmas and Holiday season and thought it would be a nice idea to list the many entertainment opportunities we have\u00a0available the next week or so.\u00a0\u00a0 If you are like I am, I know there is a lot going on but not sure where to get the information.\u00a0 I know they come out with a calendar the beginning of each month telling you what the entertainment is for that month, but if you don’t keep it or misplace it,\u00a0you are left wondering.\u00a0 Have you ever wanted to know what is going on the next week because you have out of town guests coming, or you just want to\u00a0make sure to catch the good shows\u00a0yourself.\u00a0 I figured that would be a nice gift I could pass along to you all, go here and here is the list.\u00a0 Well, I started going to sites I thought\u00a0would have that information, and when I am researching something like this, I have a piece of paper\u00a0that I jot\u00a0\u00a0notes down on.\u00a0 Usually a half of a piece of paper is sufficient, however I used two pieces of paper jotting down information.\u00a0 I found of list of 21 entertainment opportunties between now and the end of the year.\u00a0 I found another list that gave me\u00a0an additional 22\u00a0more shows between now and the end of January.\u00a0 I am now up to 43 things I could do.\u00a0 I started noting things like Magic Breaking The Sound\u00a0Barrier, Internationist Pianists, Smokey Joe’s Cafe,\u00a0VCPO Beethoven’s Eroica, Mo Vints Hermonicats and realized that I had 37 more\u00a0shows to notate.\u00a0 There has to be a better way.\u00a0 I continued searching and thought the box office,\u00a0I can get it all there.\u00a0 Yes, if you have to buy a ticket, but many of our shows are free, so I made a few more notes, and continued my search.\u00a0 After\u00a0more than an hour my head was swimming, I’m not sure wheter it was\u00a0from the\u00a0information I was furiously compiling or the two cups of coffee I was consuming.\u00a0 I finally took a deep breath and said this is not like The Villages to make me go through hoops to find this information.\u00a0 They make everything easy for us, so why am I having such a hard time.\u00a0\u00a0I\u00a0truly believe in my heart that\u00a0The Villages does everything right, so what am I doing wrong?\u00a0 The answer was\u00a0right in front of me.\u00a0 It was so easy\u00a0that I\u00a0didn’t see it.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It was so easy that any one with limited computer skills\u00a0could find it.\u00a0 It was a beautiful site to find.\u00a0 Anything you want to know,\u00a0 what’s happening today, click…what’s happening at Savannah Center, click…Church On The Square, click…I was so excited when I found it\u00a0yet felt so stupid for not\u00a0finding it sooner.\u00a0\u00a0 Here is my gift to you…go to www.thevillages.com<\/a> and at the top menu click on Lifestyle.\u00a0 On the\u00a0menu on the left click on Live Entertainment.\u00a0 I suggest for people not familiar with our entertainment to click on\u00a0the individual site such as Church On The Square as it \u00a0will tell you about the Church\u00a0(actually it is a Church but is used more for\u00a0performing arts), there is a slide show and then the schedule.\u00a0 If you want to know what is happening today, click on\u00a0 that, or if you want to know what is going on next week, or next month click on all entertainment.\u00a0 It’s\u00a0as easy as 1,2,3, actually easier and you have it all at your finger tips.\u00a0 Once again I have to congratulate\u00a0The Villages\u00a0for doing what they are doing and that is enriching our lives in so many ways and oh yes at the same time, \u00a0making it all easy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
